About Us

GRIP stands for Gloucestershire Recovery in Psychosis. The GRIP Team is a Countywide Early Intervention in Psychosis Service provided by 2gether NHS Foundation Trust. The aim of the team is to work with people aged 14-35 years old who have or are at risk of developing a first episode of psychosis.

During the last six months the team has rapidly expanded and now covers the whole of Gloucestershire. We are now located centrally at Albion Chambers on Eastgate Street in Gloucester. The team consists of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, a Sports Therapist, an Occupational Therapist, Social Workers, Nurses and Support Workers.

Service users accepted by the team can expect to receive a variety of interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Family Work, Medication Initiation, and support with accessing practical needs including employment/ occupation, benefits, sport / exercise and education.

The team has an ‘open’ referral system which means that anyone can refer to us, it doesn't matter if you're a mental health worker, a GP, a teacher, a parent, a friend or even if you would like help for yourself. If you feel that you or someone you know might be experiencing some psychotic symptoms then get in touch.
